Hotel Garni Doris - Castelrotto

This hotel is a fantastic value for money! The prices are very reasonable for what you get. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the hotel, from the homemade desserts and ice creams to the cozy sitting area with a fireplace. The location is perfect, right in the center of Kastelruth, surrounded by stunning mountains and plenty of nearby hikes. The rooms have a nice balcony with a great view and breakfast is included.

My Easter holidays were fantastic thanks to the wonderful accommodation I found. The breakfast was outstanding; so many delicious options including fresh fruit, bread, and pastries. The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring nearby attractions and had excellent access to local transport. Another great aspect of my stay was the friendly staff who went out of their way to ensure I had a comfortable and memorable trip.

While my stay was excellent overall, there was one small issue I encountered which was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom at times. some parts of the hotel appeared quite old-fashioned and may benefit from refurbishing.

the breakfast spread was great with a variety of fresh and healthy choices. the staff made a lasting impression with their warm hospitality and willingness to go the extra mile such as providing special requests of guests. the comfortable bed, spacious rooms, clean bathroom, and impressive view of the mountains made my stay extra memorable. the homely atmosphere and homemade sweets like tiramisu only added to the charm of the place.

The front desk was sometimes unattended.

The rooms were a bit dated and not well-maintained. During the Christmas season, the decorations were not taken down even after the holidays, creating a cluttered and messy look.
